The Emergency Paediatric First Aid course is designed for individuals who have responsibility for the care of infants and children, including parents, childcare providers, teachers, and nursery staff.
This course provides the essential knowledge and practical skills needed to recognise and respond to a range of paediatric first aid emergencies, helping learners act quickly and effectively when caring for babies and children.

The Emergency Paediatric First Aid course has a Total Qualification Time (TQT) of 7 hours, including:

The course focuses heavily on practical learning, giving participants the confidence to respond quickly and safely when caring for children.
Learners are assessed continuously throughout the course through practical demonstrations and instructor observation and questioning.
Upon successful completion, participants will receive an Emergency Paediatric First Aid certificate, which is valid for three years.
Annual refresher training is recommended to maintain knowledge and confidence. After three years, learners must retake the full course to renew their qualification.
Certificates remain valid for 3 years from date shown on the certificate.
