Level 2 Award in Health and Safety in the Workplace

The Health and Safety in the Workplace course is typically delivered as a one-day classroom-based training course.  

Depending on the learner’s experience, some pre-course or post-course reading may also be recommended to support learning.  

The training is designed to be clear, practical, and relevant to real workplace situations.   

Our Health and Safety training syllabus covers essential workplace safety topics, including:  

• The roles and responsibilities for health, safety, and welfare in the workplace  
• The importance and process of risk assessments  
• Identifying and controlling workplace hazards  
• How to respond effectively to workplace incidents and accidents  
• Understanding the importance of safe working practices  
• Promoting a positive safety culture within the workplace  

The course helps learners develop the knowledge required to recognise potential hazards   and take appropriate action to maintain a safe working environment.   

 Learners are assessed throughout the course by the instructor, with the training concluding with a multiple-choice assessment.

Upon successful completion, participants will receive the Level 2 Award in Health and Safety in the Workplace.  

• Maximum class size: 16 learners
• Minimum age: 16 years 

Unlike many qualifications, this certificate does not expire. However, refresher training and keeping up to date with changes in health and safety legislation and workplace procedures is strongly recommended.
